The intro to encaustic workshop will explore the principles of encaustic painting and collage. Encaustic painting is a form of painting that involves heated wax medium where colored pigments are added. The mix can be applied to a surface including prepared wood or canvas. In this workshop attendees will explore various encaustic techniques to create their own finished piece of art.
$70 participation fee. All materials will be provided, but if there is something you would like to use for a collaging material, feel free to bring that to the workshop.
